Updates and Emails sent with Info

December 21,2004

Hello Everyone i'm sending this email to everyone to get an update from all to see if you have sent your letters to your Delegates and Senators of your District. January is around the corner and we want to really make sure we can get the support we need so it will make things easier for Delegate Marriott once she presents legislation to the floor. I also need to make everyone aware that when we Delegate Marriott presents this we are going to need everyone to join forces and and support her this MEANS WE NEED YOU TO BE THERE  FOR THAT MEETING, not just our voices need to be heard but our faces need to be seen by the Maryland General Assembly to show them we mean business, and we are not willing to take NO for an answer. I do understand everyone has jobs and  have life's and responsibilities but understand that the only way we are going to get this accomplished is by doing whatever it takes to make them approve this legislation. So please make yourself available if at all possible. I will get the information ASAP and forward it on to everyone of when and where this meeting is going to take place. If transportation is an issue please let me know I'm sure everyone can pitch in and help give others a ride if they are close to each other. If there any questions or concerns please contact me ASAP and I will address them as best of my ability. I want to thank everyone once in advance for your support I have worked long and hard to get this far and I want this to happen for everyone.

Thank You

Hello Everyone,

First I want to take the time to thank everyone who was able to attend the meeting yesterday, I really appreciate it. Yesterday's meeting kind of brought into prospective where we are going with this issue, and how we are going to really get to the goal of having Conjugal Visit's. Please keep in mind that this is not something that will happen over night, it is going to be a up hill battle and we are really going to have to put in all that we got in order to make a difference. We have decided to put in a bill which request a task force ( to study the possibilities of the Visit's), to study the cost of having conjugal visit's in the state of Maryland. And we are going to gear it towards the way Mississippi has them. They are also the most liberal state in allowing almost all inmates to participate. Now remember you do have to be married. I will also put up on the website all the requirements for each of the states as far as behavior level etc.., this should be done hopefully by Saturday so check then. I'm also going to try to put up information to ask for donations to fund this organization, if anyone has any ideas or has done this before please any input or help would be greatly appreciate. I also want to address some of the issues brought up from some of the ladies that attended. It was that they are concerned that allot of family's or wives do not have the capability to access the internet or have email. I am aware of this, I have provided my personal P.O. Box and phone for those cases and I will also give to all of you ladies. But please understand that all of this by my own funding and I am limited to what I can do with out any help. So please your assistance in spreading this information by word of mouth or by printed out information to family's and wives that can not access the Internet is greatly appreciated. Feel free to give them my contact information to contact me with any questions.

I would also like to set up a meeting for all of us to get together and draft this bill that we are going to present to the Maryland General Assembly, I need everyone's help and input on this. So please everyone we can meet in a central location and have breakfast or lunch and discuss our plans. So please everyone email me let me know what date and time is good for everyone and let me know what is a central location for everyone, from that I will get a time date and location that is most convent for everyone to be able to attend. Please feel free at any time to contact me with any information you might have come across, or suggestions I am always open for anything and appreciate and suggestions, input that can help us better this group and reach or goal which is being with or loved ones while incarcerated. Off course the ultimate goal is home for all of our loved ones.

Thank You Everyone
